Diversity & Inclusion

At Woods we are working to create a community of learners where every student and teacher feels known, needed, and cared for.  We want Woods to be a true second home for all who attend, and we know that a real community is one in which members are able to bring their “whole selves” to the work at hand.  We recognize that the diversity of our community directly affects the quality, richness, and vibrancy of our experience here, so we are actively working to build a community of people from different cultures, backgrounds, circumstances, and beliefs.  We also acknowledge that strengthening diversity and inclusion is an ongoing process, and we are committed to implementing policies, programs, and practices that allow all members of our community to feel safe, welcomed, and empowered.

Woods Charter School actively strives to be a community of faculty, students, and families of diverse backgrounds. Woods does not discriminate based on age, race, color, gender/gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, physical disability, family status, socioeconomic background, national or ethnic origin, or any other protected class in the administration of its policies and programs.
