I have taught in third through fifth grade classrooms since 2000, and am excited and challenged that I have joined Woods Charter School as a member of the Exceptrional Children Team.
I am originally from Kansas, but have lived in North Carolina for more than 30 years. My sons grew up here, and continue to make their homes here, so I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by a loving supportive family.
My teaching philosophy is super simple: Teaching is fun, and so is learning. I try to put that philosophy into practice every day in my classroom.
When I am not teaching, I like learning more about how to be a good teacher. I also love spending time with my husband, my sons, their wives, and my four grandchildren. And, while I find it embarrassing to admit this, I am a fan of way too many TV shows -- I love the escape into another world that TV, movies, and reading provide.
