Born in Seattle, Washington.  B.A. in Psychology from the Unversity of Washington and J.D. Cum Laude from the University of Puget Sound.

I work in education because it's a lot more fun than being a lawyer, and I feel like I actually do some good every now and again.

When I'm not at work I try to get in a little yoga and bike riding.

It might surprise you to know that I used to climb mountains and once parachuted out of an airplane

(both of which it turns out were great preparation for working at Woods Charter School -- who knew?)!
