I was born in South Korea, raised in the Bay Area in California. I've come to love North Carolina since my move in 2000. I graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Art Education, and followed up with two teaching credentials in Multiple Subject and Special Education.
In 2008, my two older boys started at Woods as 1st and 2nd grader. In 2013, my youngest son followed, and I started as a lunch volunteer. Having been a full time stay-at-home mom, I enjoyed the interaction with students and faculty as well as other fellow parents. It was also a perfect opportunity to see all three of my boys in their school environment. In 2016, I was hired as the Director of the Lunch Program and I am excited to be here every day! It gives me great joy to be part of an amazing team of staff and a wonderful crew of volunteers.
When I am not at school, I like to keep up with my ongoing projects usually having to do with learning to play my ukulele, crocheting, gardening, sewing, organizing and four leaf-clover hunting.
