INTRO TO ART (Art I) is a course designed to provide foundational skills in drawing, design, painting, ceramics, art history, and art critique. Students will begin to develop artistic habits of mind to develop the own personal voice in visual art and learn how to apply critical thinking skills to artistic expression.

SUPPLY LIST

A used, old hardbound book (think like "saved from the thrift store trash bin" kind of book. We will be deconstruction these.)

A sketchbook (8 x 10 in. or larger)

Pencil and eraser

*Students are welcome to bring in "extra" materials for their projects (ex: found objects, drawing sets, painting kits, etc.)
