My name is Sandra KIrk and I have been a teacher for about 25 years. After college, I went into the AIr Force as a computer specialist for 5 years. Later, when I had children, I got involved in their school and decided to pursue the teaching profession. I taught kindergarten for 6 years and then moved on to many different levels and classes including computer programming, logic, economics, and keyboard for first grade through middle school. After 15 years, I became a elementary principal. This was a great opportunity but my head principal and I decided to begin a tutoring center and work for ourselves. The next nine years flew by as I taught math, reading, and writing for grades k-12. It was very rewarding helping these students excel and I got the opportunity to teach many different classes. I look forward to teaching at Woods.
