Hi! My name is Elizabeth Faulkner and my passion is teaching! My diverse background has allowed me to teach students of all ages from Kindergarten through high school, but Kindergarten is where my heart truly lies. I deeply enjoy working with parents and other professional teachers on a daily basis and am greatly looking forward to working with the Woods team! I love kids. Even on my worst days, my students make me laugh and raise my spirits. I care deeply for my students, and I've learned how to look for the special qualities within each child.

I attended Hillsdale College, earning a double major in Elementary Education and History and in 2013 I began my graduate work at UC. After completing my reading endorsement in the summer of 2015, I'm continuing to pursue my master's degree in reading instruction. I am also a huge dog lover! We lovingly call our two miniature poodles, Quigley and Toby, our two children. We moved from Cincinnati, OH in the summer of 2016 and have loved getting to know each of you in the Woods, Chapel Hill, and Pittsboro communities. Please say hi if you see me in the hallway!
