Hi! My name is Tommy Johnson and I am excited to teach middle school humanities at Woods this year.
All course-specific information can be found HERE.
While my first time being officially employed at Woods was during a summer in college, painting classrooms, I started teaching here as a guest high school English teacher last fall. I graduated from Woods in 2016, earned a bachelors degree at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, and am currently a student at Teachers College, Columbia University, where I take summer courses en route to an M.A. I am a teacher because I believe that learning how to be a good question-asker in adolescence is not only essential for democracy but can also motivate students towards a vibrant, meaningful life.
