Physical Education Topics

Semester 1 

-Fitness basics - fitness testing, heart rate and heart rate monitors, major muscle groups, cardiovascular fitness, strength training, flexibility. 

-Class goals - improve all areas of personal fitness, complete a 5k walk/run.

Semester 2 

-Advanced fitness techniques - agility training, plyometrics, balance and stability training. 

- Developing personal fitness plans in order to meet individual fitness goals. 

Flex days: 

-Several times a month we will have flex days where students will be given the opportunity to choose between 2 or 3 recreational or personal fitness activities in which to participate that day.
