The PreACT assessment that all 10th graders took on October 6th included a pretest portion that was not available to students through the state test administration. This optional pretest portion includes an interest inventory section. The results can help students with their college and career options. Parents and students can voluntarily access and complete the information that is included in this pretest portion and create an ACT profile at the following website:
On Wednesday, October 19th the PSAT/NMSQT will be given at Woods. Students should bring their own calculator to use on the math part of the test. Students can also bring water to drink and a snack to eat during the break. Before Wednesday students should review how to enter answers on the math grid-in section of the math part of the test. Cell phones should be left at home or in their locker. Please have your student at school on time (8:20 AM) and well rested.
Students can prepare for the test by taking a practice test at http://collegeboard.org/psatpractice. Khan Academy is offering free online practice to help students prepare for the PSAT/NMSQT.
