Carlos Lavin

My name is Mr. Carlos and I am so excited to be a part of the Woods experience this year!!! I could not imagine a better place to work! I am originally from Mexico City. I came to the U.S. when I was 23 and finished my undergrad at Loyola University in New Orleans. I am currently attending North Carolina Central University for my Master’s in Special Education. This is my first year teaching in a formal setting but I have been working with Exceptional Children for the past five years: First as a camp Counselor and for the past 3 years as a Teacher Assistant in Chapel Hill.

I live in Carrboro and enjoy walking to Weaver Street for coffee during the weekends. I love reading about ancient Greece and Rome and the rest of the world back then. I do have to say that my favorite book is “The Lost Prince”. If you want to, I can lend you a copy (I have more than one).

Have a great day!

Sincerely,

Mr. Carlos
