About Me:
I am very excited to be joining the Woods community this year teaching 8th and 9th grade Algebra I and 12th grade Pre-Calculus. Hailing from Winston-Salem, I attended and loved every minute at Elon University. At Elon, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a concentration in Teaching Licensure. One of my favorite things about my time at Elon was the semester I spent in London, England as my students will be able to tell from the pictures by my desk. I also participated in multiple math, statistics, and education research projects with my advisor and was able to travel to conferences to share my findings.
In addition to being an Elon Phoenix fan, I am a strong Tarheel supporter and am looking forward to living in true Tarheel country. I enjoy playing and watching sports, reading, traveling, watching good movies, cooking, visiting art musuems, listening to music, and exploring new places.
I am particularly excited about sharing my love of mathematics with my students and sparking that desire in them to want to delve deeper into mathematics. I am looking forward to getting to know all of my students and their families as the school year progresses.
