The best part about teaching at Woods is getting to read, write, and talk with curious and engaged thinkers of all ages. I cherish the goal of having a comfortable, positive, inclusive classroom where all voices share ideas, questions, and thoughts. I'm thrilled to be able to to explore great books and burning questions with my students and enjoy the process.

My classes are largely discussion-based and Socratic, with an emphasis on cultural literacy, cultural context, and the relevance of the study of literature.  We do lots of writing, talk about texts from various perspectives, and commit to personal responsibility.

I live in a really old farm house, I have a three children who attend Woods, and I very much enjoy being part of the Woods community!
