Homework Policy

Homework will be assigned most nights.  Homework assignments allow students to practice and master new math concepts- building on classroom instruction.   Homework will be graded based on completeness and effort.

Following an excused absence, homework will be accepted late without penalty; otherwise, 10 points will be deducted for each day the assignment is late. We believe that it is important to complete and turn in assignments so the student has the opportunity to learn and practice material even if it’s for partial credit.

Grading Policy

The yearly grade will reflect the average of the 3 trimester grades.

     40% - Tests

    20% - Quizzes and mini-projects

     20% - Class work

     10% - Homework

     10%- Class participation

*A student may make up any work missed due to an excused absence.  When absent, it is the student’s responsibility to find out what work was missed.  Make-up work should be completed in a timely manner.
